My concentration theme is the idea of skies and dreams; how skies are symbolic of a future and dreams.

Random Art Websites

This is random, but lately I've been finding all these crazy art websites. I was looking up line designs online and I found these really cool websites. One is about packaging design, another is someone's art website, and another is about art in livable spaces.

I thought they were pretty nifty~ :]

New Line Design

So, I was going to fix my water droplet design, but I deleted the file for some odd reason... Couldn't find it on my flash drive or on my laptop. All that I could do was create a new line design. And honestly, I like this one the best.

It started out as being a colorful question mark, but then I made it into a balloon. I really love how the lines overlapped and created such an interesting shape. Then I just 'Crystalized' it to give it a cool color effect.

Also, for FUTURE REFERENCE to everyone, in the previous posts, I made links that looked like this: [ x ]. That doesn't mean that they can't load. I just used to make my links show that way in the past and stuck with it. I just got tired of having distored posts.

Line #3

Last one :]
This one is similar to the other design but it's focused more on the idea of opposite colors on the color wheel. If you match up each line then it'll be it's exact opposite. And once again I messed with the design to match or work with the jacket design

Line #2

Whew~ I. Am. On. A. ROLE~ :D
Here's line #2. I adjusted the design a bit on the tshirt because I added the text later on rather than just putting it all in first. And personally, I didn't want to change the whole tshirt design just for the text. Besides, I think it looks good that way :]

Concentration #1

So much posting tonight x______x
Well, I also forgot to post my concentration. My theme will be space and skies but symbolic of looking towards the future. At least, I think that's what it'll be. I know for sure that it'll be about skies and space, but I dunno if the theme future will get me far in concentration ideas.
Thoughts about that are greatly appreciated :>

Also, the character reads "Yume" which means "Dream" in Japanese

Line Project #1

Well, finally started editing the line project to fit the guidelines~ It may look like the lines are touching but if you look closer, then you'll see that they aren't ;]

Bird Project

Here's my bird project. I still need to edit the line project cause I didn't do what we were suppose to do. Dangit :\

Anywho, here they are~ I really love how both of them turned out, especially the textured one. I love how simple it really was. It would be considered being altered 60-70%, right? o______o"

Once again, screw the resizing :'pp

Random Whatever + 30 Mini Results

Ugh.... Been sick lately D:
Well, that's what I get for staying up until 3:30 in the morning a couple times during the week for the past four weeks or so "( - 3-)~

But it's been nice, taking it easy, not worrying about school and sports.
I guess I had absolutely NO idea about AP Art; I didn't know what kind of hell I signed up for (thanks again Ottum for attacking me after practice to join, when I'm oh so tired -____-...)

Jin, you were SOOOO RIGHT: AP Art is a class you cry about ;_____;

ANYWHO...~

I wasn't too happy with my 30 minis. I liked some of them, but I had to half-ass the last ten because I realized at 12-1 in the morning the day they were due that I forgot about 10 other minis. I actually curled up in a ball and started to cry hysterically. It was... interesting o______o

Gah... looking back at all of them it looks like they were all half-assed.So sloppy~ Now that I think about it, A LOT of my work has been sloppy because of my time management. So I have always wondered: is it better to turn in an assignment late and have it nice or turn something in on time but it's not as polished? Cause I don't wanna fail the class, but I wanna be proud of my work, y'know?

But here are links to some of them. It was all Pop Art Themed. Let me know if there's an issue seeing them... if you really wanted to see them :'P

This is my complaining post cause I want to complain, but I also need some help.
So, I can't post on other people's blogs. Everytime I try, it's always like log in to your account even though I'm already logged it. Also, I can't find a way to get back my follow me button. Finally, cant just straight out publish a post. Rather, I gotta save as a draft and then publish it.

I can't STAND how I am staying up at UNgodly hours working on AP art homework. I mean, I've already had MULTIPLE nights of staying up till 2-3 in the morning. Yesterday, or this morning, I was up till 3:30. I pray that Ottum is right when she says that I'll get faster at this cause I CAN'T STAND THIS ANYMORE!!! D:<
lacking sleep=cranky Clare. Plus, I don't like working out when I have such little sleep. Don't have as good of runs :/
Gosh, I feel like I'm constantly running mile three in a 5k; I'm constantly HANGING IN THERE AND SURVIVING x___x

Art Ed Poster

Whoo!! Finally finished all of my required assignments for the summer homework~ :D

Anywho, this one took... a while... in a sense. Well, it wasn't wasy, ok?
The background was actually taken by me using my dad's super nice Nikon D7000 camera and lens. It was cool playing around with the camera and the photo effects.

Now, the person is actually a friend of mine from my cross country team. It was funny because I was going to ask some friends to do random jumping poses but I was like "Meh, maybe not..." and then we were at our team camp and I decided to do so. It was funny because everyone wanted to jump together and I was like "Um, no. Sorry, just need one person..." Took a while to get the right moment to take the picture. I kept taking some really awkward but funny poses of my friend jumping :'pp

And the wings... Ah, the wings. Well, I found some free downloadable brushes online and used them (NOT MADE BY ME; MADE BY LOTSUII ON DEVIANTART). I actually wanted more vibrant colors and for the wings to be positioned in a different spot, but it wasn't gonna happen, so I worked with what I had.

I was super excited about the "Let Imagination" font because it was Final Fantasy styled font. Couldn't resist~

And that's it... I guess? :]
There's a bigger version of this here: http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b58/codelyoko298/ArtEdPoster.jpg

Onesie #6

Whew. Finally finished #3 for set two, which means I am FINISHED with my onesies! ; Q;
I'm really tired now though...

So, here's the dealio. Finally figured out the planet tutorial I found and understood it, so I used it and made my own planet~ Pretty nifty, huh? :]
After making the planet, I knew that there should be something whether it was a shooting star, meteors, or something and then I saw a real life photo of the Earth and the sun and thought of adding a sun! So I added one and made some lighting affects. Sounds super easy, but this one was pretty tricky. Wouldn't work the way I wanted it to. After finishing it, I am QUITE sleepy~ Being in front of a computer for a long time relly wipes you out x____x

Also, I've been having some issues with blogger. Every time I want to comment on another person's post, it just won't let me. I try using my google account, but for some reason it doesn't let me :( Always says:
"Your current account (czaikoski@gmail.com) does not have access to view this page.

Click here to logout and change accounts."

Lame.

Anywho~ here's the design. Once again, screw the sizing. Too tired to mess with it.

Onesie #5

I. Am. On. A. ROLL~
Onesie #2 for set 2! :D

So, once again, I founda fabulous tutorial on shooting stars and I went for it~
Everything is handmade; no photography or other's photography. Pretty neat, huh? And the best part was the fact that it was so easy.

But see, now that I have the shooting stars and background, I feel like there should be... more, y'know? I just don't know what, though. I was thinking about adding a small and simple drawing of a person looking at the stars but I was having some issues with drawing it. Then I was like, well, how about some text? That didn't look right. So now I am left with a onesie that's missing something. Ideas would be fabulous.

Onesie #4 :D

Whoo!! Finished a onesie for the second set~ :D
So, this theme is Space/Sky. I came up with the idea... randomly, and I found some FABULOUS tutorials on Smashing Magazine's website. I was very excited about this since I love space and sky images. As they said on the website, "Humans have always had an infatuation with the air above us and the space around our planet."

This actually didn't take very long to make. I was super happy about this since I need to quickly make the rest of my assignments.
My favorite part would be the background of the onesie. I was really happy with how it turned out. It looks pretty cool and realistic in my opinion :]
I will say, though, that there were moments where I wanted to punch Photoshop in the face if it was a person >>:[

Advice Poster Redone

So~ finally worked on recreating my advice poster. I finished it last night actually but I was just so tired of Photoshop that I called it good for the day.

I obviously fixed the ear, which was the main reason why I had to redo this poster. Hopefully it's a better fix, because honestly, I'm kinda feeling done with this poster -____-"
And compared to the original, I changed a good chunk of things. I was kinda sad that I didn't keep my mint green/hot pink colors and changed the mint to a softer blue, but it felt right. I didn't like the idea of having the mint and the blue clashing and competing for attention, so I simply chose one over the other.

I also got rid of her clanky leg belts. I loved the idea, but it just didn't turn out right, so I got rid of those and gave her some different clothes. Rather than the weird vest, I gave her a jacket that was inspired by Tidus from Final Fantasy X (everything I do is video game inspired... :'D) If I went more detailed with the jacket, it would be a... hm, well, I guess it would be a more structured and firmer jacket. Like, it wouldn't really flow with the wind like some do. Anywho, I gave her a patterned shirt that wasn't so unnoticable. The other one was just so... plain. It almost matched her skin tone o___o"
And the boots were less constricting and I gave her a tattoo. Much better~ :]

So, when I was creating the background, I was trying to repeat the same idea with the previous poster and it just wasn't working. Plus, I felt that since her shirt was already diagonal with the stripes, I shouldn't make the text that way because it would look odd. So I just made to go horizontal and I made to fade more so that the person would notice the drawing more rather than having a smack in the face wow poster where you don't really know what to look at. I actually stumbled into that idea and I really liked how it turned out. And of course, I had to keep the paint splotches.

So there we are~ Took me two, long and stressful days to complete. Now on to other assignments
;_____;
I realized not too long ago that I still have quite a few things left for homework. Ugh.... Not happy.

Ah screw the sizing! I'll just leave it big x____x

Advice Poster

Well~ Finished another assignment: the final of the advice poster :]

I had been wanting to Photoshop to really polish a picture for a LONGGG time now. I had tried once, but it didn't turn out well (to be honest, my drawing sucked in the first place so it was already an epic fail). Now that I am better at drawing, I wanted to try again and see how it would go, and TA DA~ This is what I got. Though it isn't the best that's ever been completed in the history, it was pretty good considering it was a first real attempt ( > U<)b

So, this drawing was really FFXIII inspired; mainly it being inspired from the character Lightning. I have always liked the advice of "sucking it up and dealing with it" and "walking with confidence, even when it's rough." I've really learned these lesson from running in cross country, as cheesy as it sounds. Cross Country really taught (and still teaches me) to keep going even when it's rough. I mean, that's the essence of distance running, really.

Anywho, back to the drawing. As previously said, this drawing was inspired by Lightning from FF13. When I thought about confidence, I thought of her immediately. I love her outfit, her personality; I essentially just love her (not in that weird creepy way, more like awe for her)... even though I haven't played the game yet. :'pp But I've definitely researched the game and such~
I also love her hair style. I think it's so cool and... simply awesome. If I could pull it off, I would totally get that hair style.

And it took about 9-10 hours to outline, color, and shade the image on Photoshop. I just outlined the picture on paper and cleaned it up on Photoshop and went from there. Sadly, my shading isn't super obvious which kinda sucks since I spent a while working on it. But it's there!!
So, I gave my girl crazy pink hair, cool side belt accessory, and other little details that referred back to FF13 and even KH. How cool is that?

I am really happy about how it came out. I had a previous idea that was ok, and I just kept building from there and this is what I got. I really like the final results. :]

The Woes of Thine-self~

It's been a while since I've posted anything... So, I'll just post a kinda random but somewhat meaningful post~
So, in regards to AP Art, I've started working on some of the assignments. I finished my three advice poster drawings and all that's left is for me to edit some of them and to finish one (or two since I really like two of my drawings) on Adobe. I'll probably use Photoshop (it's been a while my good friend! :D) since I've always wanted to color and shade using the program. I'll see how it goes, though. Found a fabulous tutorial on coloring and shading on Photoshop on my manga app on my phone which was convenient. I'll post my progress here later on.
In regards to random, I've been on a serious online shopping spree these past weeks. I've mainly just been looking at clothes, games, and stuff online and not actually buying them, but I have gotten so far a new book, new power supply replacement, and three new games (one of the games was COVERED in scratches, which pissed me off to no end, so I had to order a factory sealed version of the game).
But now I have my eyes on a bigger prize: a PS3 with backward compatability (which I've kinda been dying to have for for a while)~
Since my PS2 (well, technically it's my older brother Brandon's, but I guess it's mine now since I'm the only one who plays video games in my house) is covered in dust and is easily 11 or 12 years old, I have a serious fear of it dying sometime soon. I have had some hicups with it, some small problems but nothing too crazy. Plus, I REALLY REALLY want to play some of the new PS3 games (mainly FF13 and KH3 if it EVER COMES OUT!!!! D:<). The Motion games are pretty cool too, but definitely not as cool as FF13 and, soon to be, KH3~
Now the question is SHOULD I get one and, if I do get one, WHERE.
Ahh!! So many choices, it's overwhelming~ x Qx

Fabulous Hoodies by Holly Hue

Ok, so this has nothing to do with AP Art or anything, but it somewhat relates to art. :'P

So, I was looking on one of my favorite websites, I Heart Guts (I definitely recommend looking on this website. They have some awesome shirts and plushes. I mean, who wouldn't want some random organ on their shirt?? Honestly~), and was looking and their clothes for the millionth time and looked at their really cool hoodies for the millionth time and clicked on the link to the designer's page. The designer is Holly Hue, of which I don't know if she's well known or simply a designer in the rise, but I looked at her hoodies and LOVED THEM!!!! They're quite unique and the designs are kinda crazy, but not a bad crazy. I wanted to order one but I have no idea on the sizes so I sent them an email. Hopefully they'll reply soon because I love them~ > U<
I really love designers who aren't afraid of colors and shapes; the designers who are willing to push to the extremes. I truly admire their courage and their designs. That's probably why I love these jackets, because they're so different from a jacket you'd find at say American Apparel or something.

Even though one could say I have plenty of jackets... but these are special, so I think a special exception is in order~ :'D
The only downside of them is that they're spendy and I have no idea how their quality of fabric is.

Here are some of the jackets she has to offer, and these aren't even my top favorites!:

Onesie #3

Whoo~ Another design finished~
This one didn't take very long at all, compared to the other designs. I think this one was easier since I had a clear idea as to how I wanted to be.

Well, this onesie is for the Big Apple. I used photos from the Adobe resources since no one in my family has any pictures of New York (my dad traveled there for business, but didn't take any pictures. How lame~).
The reason why I typed Mr. Taxi rather than just taxi is because this entire line and design was inspired by the song "MR.TAXI" by Girls Generation. Besides, Mr. Taxi for a onesies sounds better than just taxi. That just sounds so.... obvious o____o"

And.... that's about it regarding the design. Comments and opinions are fabulous. :]

England Pictures

Here were some of the pictures I was prevously taking about. I hope that I can use them for another design or something~

And even though I used this one in my design, I really liked the colors and brightness of this photo (I edited it a smidge)
Photobucket

Onesie #2

Yay~ I finished my second onesie design~ :D
This one is suppose to be for London, UK.

In the previous design, I wanted people to focus more on the writing and text rather than the photo. This design focuses more on the photos and the background graphic. There is a little bit of text, but only to state the obvious. I felt as though some text was needed, but not crazy enough to pull away from the graphics and yet big enough for people to notice.

Regarding the photos, they were actually photos my parents took when they were in England, specifically London for the photos in the design. They went there when I was, like 6 or so, so I didn't remember any of the photos they took (lets be honest, all I cared about when they returned were the cool toys and souverneirs :'D). I fell in love with a lot of the photos they took, but didn't use them because I wanted to use the iconic photos for the design. I'll post some of my favorite photos here after a while~ ;]

After thinking about it, my family has kinda traveled a bit around the world... My mom and dad went to England, my sister went to Italy, France, and England, my dad traveled to Japan for business as well as to various states here in the US for business...

Old Artwork

So, I was just thinking about my old drawings and I just wanted to post some favorites. I'll probably do this every now and then... :'P

These drawings are the most recent ones that I drew. Took about three and a half hours to draw them and coloring isn't how I wanted to be, but they turn out nice. :]
Although, there are some small details that bug me, but I'll keep them to myself~ - U-

This picture is my favorite of the two~

I like posting. It makes me feel special~ - U-
Anywho~ I edited my design and finished it! It was driving me crazy for so long since I didn't have any clear idea as to what I wanted for it, but I fixed it this morning and I like it SO much better than the previously posted design :]
Regarding the sakura picture, I actually took that years ago. We have some cherry trees in our backyard and I really love them in their full bloom. I decided to make a card for my mom on Mother's Day one year and I went in our backyard and kept taking pictures of our trees. This photo really stuck out to me when I took it because I feel that it really did a nice job showing the beauty and elegance of cherry blossoms.
I had forgotten about this photo and when I was looking for cherry blossom pictures, I remembered it and used it. It was a nice plus since I took it so there was no worries about copyright or anything! (> U<)b
Dang, I hope this baby is happy with this onesie. Darn labor intensive kids.

Dang it

Dang it. Had a realization that I had screwed up. D:
There goes two days for nothing~ ( T ^T)

Design 1

I was weird and began working on the onesies. I hope that's ok. But, what's done is done. :]
Well, I finished one of the designs last night at 1:30 in the morning~
Sadly I feel that it's not... polished. I dunno. I've been working on a second version of this design but the more I work on it, the more I wonder if it's actually better to leave it this way...
The theme for this line is "World Cities/Countries"

Hm...

Well, if this isn't considered being a bit late then I dunno what would be...:'P
I'll sacrifice my potential video game playing and biking time to work on this summer homework. Probably should, though, before it's too late. ( "- 3-)~
